These bits might not be utilized every day but they are indispensable when the task calls for them. The Whiteside Specialty Bit Pack for the PantoRouter Woodworking Machine comes with the following four bits and collet adapter.
RU5200RN: Ball nose spiral up cut bit 1/2”SH, 1/2”CD, 1/4”R, 2”CL, solid carbide. This bit is great for decorative details, grooves, and raised panel work when using the Auxiliary Table (get free plans for the Auxiliary Table HERE.
1411: Round nose (core box) bit 1/2”SH, 3/4”CD, 3/8”R 1-1/4”CL, carbide tipped. This bit is ideal for finger pulls, detents, and handles.
2504: Three flute straight flush trim bit 1/2”SH, 1/2”CD, 1-1/2”CL, carbide tipped. Flush trim proud box joints, dove tails, as well as mortise and tenons after glue-up on the PantoRouter with this bit. The three flute configuration leaves a clean finish with minimal tear out.
RU3100: Spiral up cut bit 5/16”SH, 5/16”CD, 1”CL, solid carbide. The 5/16” bit allows PantoRouter users to cut a whole new size of mortise and tenon joint when using any of our mortise and tenon templates. This bit is used for mortises and the 1/2” bit with a 12mm guide bearing guide bearing cuts the tenon. If you do not have a 12mm guide bearing, you can order one HERE. This 5/16” bit cuts 8mm, perfect for pre-manufactured slip tenons when using the Slot Mortise Template.
6401: Router collet adapter 5/16”ID, 1/2”OD, steel. This adapter is intended to be used with the RU3100 router bit in a 1/2” router collet. By using a router bit with a collet adapter, the depth of cut is increased compared to a stepped bit with a 1/2” shank
